The end

Yesterday M and I drove to Vesterhavet and went for a long walk. The weather was absolutely beautiful! Golden and cold.
It is becoming a tradition for me to say hello to that wide beach and wild sea, everytime I am home.
We drove back, and did nothing for the rest of the day. Perfect.

// I wish you all a wonderful New Year, and all the best for 2012.

A christmas to forget...

What a Christmas! I only just managed to open my (numbered) presents before it started. Spent christmas eve (and night. And morning) with my head in a bucket, being really really sick. Eight hours of misery I wouldn't even want my worst enemy to go through. Hopefully today I can eat for the first time in two days (fingers crossed).

Hope your christmases have been magical, relaxing and that you only had to see your christmas meal once...

First christmas present

Got an unexpected visit from M and M today. I got those two cups as an early christmas present.

My exam is tomorrow. I am nervous that they will ask a question I cannot answer.
Apparently it should help saying your fears out loud. So I did. Many times today.
I am nervous that they will ask a question I cannot answer. I am nervous that they will ask a question I cannot answer.

I has not helped...

Highlights of a grey Saturday

Pulled myself up from the heavy mess that is exam preparation, and had brunch with dearest A. In a month she lives here in Copenhagen. I look more forward to that than to Christmas Eve.

How to spend two days inside

I know your windows are very(!) dirty. But thanks to the building site, it won't pay to clean them..

Christmas lunch with work. Decorating. And preparing for exam. That was my weekend.

September 24th and 25th

I dont' know why it has taken me so long to write this post. Maybe it is because I have no good photos to accompany it. Or because this post will mark a final period to that weekend.

Well. The last weekend in September I was a hostess at the UCI Road World Championships, in Rudersdal. It was such a big event to be part of.
Saturday I worked in the UCI Lounge, where all 'big' people within the cycling world were. Work was such a small part of it. We watched cycling, talked to a lot of important men in suits, and got a ride in one of those cars following the riders around the race course. And for the finish I practically stood on the finish line.

Sunday was in a Golden Club Lounge- a lot different than Saturday. Work was stressfull, and people ate canapees as if they had not eaten for a week.
Sun was out all day, and Geels Bakke surely was an amazing sight. People from all around the world (and all of Norway, it seemed) were there, celebrating for ten - or more - hours, cheering when hundreds of kiloes of muscles raced past us! It was l o u d !

I often think about that weeekend. Where my inborn love for cyclingy truly was expressed. Where I met such kind and helpful people. And where I was part of something big and infinitely positive (this could be the ending of a cheesy novel).

Burnt. Not burnt. Burnt...

Sometimes. Matches need sorting.

Tumbler drier

I am so proud! Us two girls installed this baby all by ourselves ('installed' might be too big a world. It was more like. Plugging it into an outlet...)

Our bathroom looked like this afterwards, though...

Christmas

Two weeks ago I bought some stripy clothes. Have been wearing the sweater almost everyday since.
I have also enjoyed two guilty pleasures. Have watched Twilight Breaking Dawn, and been listening to this song way too many times.
Tuesday, we invited all of our friends over for some making-of-christmas-decorations, homemade æbleskiver and glögg.
